Social commitment

Our commitment to social and cultural matters has in the mean time become a steady part of our company philosophy. Since we were founded in the year 1904, our main administration has been in Gaggenau in Baden Wuerttemberg. A lot binds us to the history and development of the city of Gaggenau. It is therefore natural for us to take over responsibility in the region.

Also and especially in economically difficult times, it is important to create and support social projects. The advancement of children and youths from the region is especially important to us. In order to maintain the high quality of life in the city, a large offering of leisure time activities must be ensured. Often they are clubs which bring together people from differing social classes through their diverse offerings and thus make an important contribution to the social fields. Therefore it is important to us to promote these. The projects which we subsidise are carefully selected.

Unimog Museum

Since its opening in the year 2006, the Unimog Museum has daily attracted numerous visitors to the birthplace of the Unimog. Here, Unimog fans have the chance to submerge themselves into the history of an unusual vehicle. The museum is a non-profit association, which thanks to its many members can operate without public subsidies.

The city of Gaggenau was forced in the summer of 2005 to give up its play mobil which had been successful for many years and was beloved in favour of a day nursery. Then in December 2005, the club KINDgenau e. V. was founded initiating from a parent’s initiative. The goal is to maintain this offering and the further development of the city of Gaggenau to become a children and family friendly city.

VFB Gaggenau

Since the summer of 2010, we have been active as main sponsor for VFB Gaggenau, which plays in the football state league. The VFB Gaggenau is a club which like us can look back on a 100 year old tradition. As promoter, we hope to be able to start in a successful future together.

Gaggenauer Tafel

The Tafel is an establishment for citizens who are in financial need. More than 70 volunteers care for, operate and serve the Gaggenauer Tafel as a working group in the DRK Ortsverein Gaggenau e.V. So that the Tafel can exist, it depends on support from businesses, companies and individual persons.
